About You Need Therapy
You Need Therapy is a leading mental health focussed podcast that was created in 2019 by Kathryn DeFatta. Kat is a licensed therapist who earned her Masters of Education in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University in 2015. This podcast was born out of Kat’s desire to promote more fun in her career and her frustration that access to mental health resources and education is very limited for the majority of humans. The space that is You Need Therapy exists to invite individuals all around the world into conversations focussed on how to live fully in cultures where we’ve become accustomed to shut parts of ourselves off. Within YNT you will find a place that welcomes in discomfort, tough questions, and hard truths, all while showing how to find joy through it all.
